Safepass renewals can now be carried out in 45 minutes at an approved testing centre.

On the face of it this is far more attractive than having to devote a day in a classroom, but beware it is not easy.

It is described as self directed learning which assuredly is what it is. In order to pass you must achieve at least 90% in the exam. Should you fail the exam you may re-sit it ( on the day if space is available) there is however a re-sit fee of  €30.

The question booklet and official answer booklet are available to download and the course material may be viewed online.

From personal experience passing will require study irrespective of the level of Health and Safety Knowledge which you believe that you possess.
